Don King to be the man to make boxings fantasy fight reality?
Recently there has been many reports of Floyd Mayweather Jr. spending time with the popular Promotor Don King. Reports have been confirmed by Mayweather Jr. himself but theres one small rumor that has been circulating. Don King is working to become Mayweather's new promotor and according to sources Mayweather may take the offer. If this happens Don King may be the one to make Pacquiao Vs Mayweather Jr happen. According to Manny Pacquiao's promotor Bob Arum the fight may be easier to negotiate with Don King. We may be close to seeing the fantasy match up everyone's been wanting for about 2 years now if Don King becomes Mayweather's new promotor.
Golden Boy promotions CEO Richard Shaefer has stated recently that Juan Manuel Marquez has a chance to fight Pacquaio for the 3rd time if he's capable of moving up to Light welterweight and beating Amir Khan. Richard Shaefer doesn't see the trilogy happening and blames Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum who apparently to many is not doing business with any fighters with different promotors to rake in all the benefits for himself.
According to sources HBO has given the okay for a bout between IBF Featherweight Champion Orlando Salido and WBA "Regular" Champion Yuriorkis Gamboa. Orlando Salido will replace WBC Champion Elio Rojas, who had to pull out of the fight due to a shoulder injury during training for the fight. This bout was supposed to take place on July 24th on HBO but salido pulled out due to a cut created during a recent bout. Salido needed more time for it to heal. This fight will take place in Vegas on HBO september 11th.
